Community
Helping others is an important aspect of my life. I really believe that one person can make a difference, at least to someone. Even if I can't change the world, I can try. The purpose of this section is to promote and encourage others to support these causes. Dedication.
Compassion International
I sponsor a child, named Junior Noé López Pineda, who is from Honduras. He is 8 years old and is currently in 2nd grade, where he is doing well. I receive letters from him a couple times a year.
AWANA
Every week I volunteer at AWANA. AWANA stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. It is a Christian club for kids. I teach TNT (Truth and Training), which are kids in grades 3-6. At Awana we have gym time, where the kids get to play games; handbook time, where the kids recite bible verses and help each other study their verses; music, where the kids will sing a couple of songs; and Council Time, where there is a lesson. I went to this program when I was younger, so it is a good way to give back.
Dedication
In 1999 my mother passed away from cancer. She did a lot of volunteering for the community and church. It is her that inspires me to help others.
