Helping others is an important aspect of my life. I really believe that one person can make a difference, at least to someone. Even if I can't change the world, I can try. The purpose of this section is to promote and encourage others to support these causes. Dedication.

Compassion International

Be a hero in the eyes of a child in need. Sponsor a child today.\
The first child I sponsored was Junior, who is from Honduras. I received letters from him a couple times a year. Unfortunately, he had to move away from the Compassion Center, so I could no longer be his sponsor.

I now sponsor 3 children:
  • Carmen from Honduras - Birthday: April 1, 2008
  • Nery from El Savador - Birthday: August 9, 2005
  • Linit from India - Birthday: December 8, 2011

New Life Christian Church Tech Team

Most Sundays and some special events, I serve on the Tech Team at church. So far I've done media (putting words, verses on the screen), video (recording, playing videos, adjusting audio), and lighting. I'm so glad I could find a way to serve in the church.

About every week, I volunteer at the USO center at Fort Drum. I work at the front desk answering phones, signing out equipment, sending out faxes, and helping out patrons as needed. I have served over 100 hours so far! In addition to that, I also pickup donations from our local Walmart and bring them to the center every week.

uso volunteer

In 1999 my mother passed away from cancer. She did a lot of volunteering for the community and church. It is her that inspires me to help others.

Every week I volunteer at AWANA. AWANA stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. It is a Christian club for kids. I teach TNT (Truth and Training), which are kids in grades 3-6. At Awana we have gym time, where the kids get to play games; handbook time, where the kids recite bible verses and help each other study their verses; music, where the kids will sing a couple of songs; and Council Time, where there is a lesson. I went to this program when I was younger, so it is a good way to give back.
